Elisworth April 2 two men Isnam veuslas and Charles Brody escaped jail here yesterday by sawing through bars. Authorities say more suspects aided the pair and a 350 reward is offered for recapture.
A heavily loaded stock car, just loaded at the Santa Fe station Bear Orlands, started down grade and crashed into an eastbound freight. The impact killed every cow in the car and cattle lay scattered across the track. Local authorities investigate cause and response.
A gang entered Volney Stiles’s Benton Kansas store in Butler County about 1 am on April 22 and blew the steel safe to pieces. About $25 was taken, while the blast wrecked the shop, smashing show cases windows and most of the stock.
San Francisco April 20 The strange case of John Joseph Nouri known as the king of Chaldeans is recounted. Once confined at Napa asylum he was freed in 1890 after reform efforts. He later claimed remnants of Noahs ark on Mt Ararat and traveled to London. The latest letter from Rev Barrows says Nouri has been restored and recognized as a dignitary in Trichur.
