Mowersock, while Nugent is seen as Curtis backer in the First district against D. H. Anthony. E. W. Hoch visited Topeka on his way home from Kansas to confer with State Chairmen Stubbs Me and discuss cull speeches for the summer. Hoch favors a unified primary system to keep Democrats from Republican primaries and will seek legislation to that end. He reports many speaking engagements but reiterates that his speeches will be non partisan. Hoch plans to return to Marion at noon today.
Pittsburg April 16 Andrew Carnegie has created a fund of 35 000 000 for the relief of dependents of those who lose their lives in heroic efforts to save others or for heroes themselves it offers a memorial fund. The fund will benefit widows or dependents and is backed by five per cent bonds of the United States Steel Corporation. Forecast notes showers tonight and Sunday with rising temperatures and easterly winds becoming variable.

He has been held in strict custody at the Fumites hotel since Wednesday, with only his attorney allowed to visit.
