Voorhees Dies In Washington At 76
Former Indiana senator Daniel Voorhees died at his Washington home after two years of poor health and an angina attack. The 76 year old Democrat, longtime finance committee figure, had retired March 4 and had remained active in public life, with his son Reese at his bedside. He left three sons Charles Reese James and one daughter Miss Hattie. Remains to Terre Haute for interment pending word from Charles Voorhees in Washington.
