A group of outlaws was captured after a confrontation in which one desperado was killed and two others were wounded. Police identified the suspects and secured the scene, while investigators collect evidence and interview witnesses.
Dick Yeager alias Gyp Wharton, a notorious bandit, is dead after a pursuit by a Warren County posse 45 miles west of Wennessey. A firefight left one robber killed and two wounded. others escaped after a chase from the train robbery near Dover. The dead man was identified and a reward total over 5000 dollars remains.
In To polis district court Mary Marshall, labeled disreputable, faces robbery charges after a contested tale with Oliver Cunningham.
