Mrs. Catherine Syred aged 69 died Sunday at Northam Hospital. Widower of the late Mr. W C Syred, she leaves two sons Charlie and William and five daughters Mary Marlow Lucy Alice Murry Eva Thackray Alma, predeceased by daughters Maggie Kathleen. Funeral was held Monday at the R C portion of Toodyay Cemetery with many at the graveside.
At a Wednesday meeting the Tood yay Traders Association decided to close on Wednesday 25th December, Thursday 26th December, and Friday 27th December 1935, and again on Wednesday and Thursday 1st and 2nd January 1936.
