The Calima eruption yesterday shook Colima collapsing the cathedral tower and sending townspeople fleeing. Volcanic dust shrouds Mexico City as hundreds depart Colima. Red Cross nurses and doctors plan to move to Colima tonight amid unclear damage and casualties.
The funeral committee for Memorial Day presents its final report detailing receipts and disbursements. Donations from business men and judges supported the event. expenses include moving organ, flowers, and other items totaling 12,000 plus dollars. Signed by J. Bestine, J. Bilyrau, Lewis Laws, and the Finance Committee.

The well known local machinery dealer Harry Peck died at Sisters hospital after an appendicitis operation. He was born in Montreal on June 19, 1884 and was nearly 27. Survived by wife Dorothy and two young daughters. Interment planned in Montreal. Peck was praised for vigor and integrity in Goldfield.
June 20. Manager Chapin of the North Pacific Steamship Company said the treasure steamer Eureka would reach San Diego tomorrow. The ship coaled at Hasenada and may skip San Diego, with a close watch kept for the vessel all week.
Indianapolis June 20 Eight indictments against three persons were returned by the Marion county grand jury in the dynamiting and kidnapping cases. John J McNamara secretary treasurer of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers was indicted for conspiracy to dynamite the Pearls and Peking Union Railroad at Peoria William Burns is indicted on kidnapping charges and a detective Hossick of Los Angeles is named in connection with McNamara’s removal to California. The grand jury declared Governor Marshall acted within the law in honoring the requisition for McNamara. A new grand jury will convene in July and continue the inquiry into the dynamiting cases.
The Postal Telegraph and Telephone Company is now stationed in new quarters in the Tonopah club. They moved their instruments and office furniture last night. Mr. Waterhouse notes improvements in the new quarters that will greatly facilitate handling their business.
June 20 in Quincy Th Walter Brooking declared he quits the flying game after a two day exhibition. He will devote his time to orange growing and gold mining interests acquired in the west, ending a notable aviation career.
In Madrid on June 20, Francisco Pradillo a 15 year old shepherd escaped a charging bull near Seville by climbing an electric standard. He touched a live wire and was killed as the bull gored him.
The Tonopah sports committee announced a Fourth of July battle royal with 12 to 16 entrants. Cosindack wrestling is highlighted with four prizes likely. A four-person subcommittee was appointed to organize the events and arena duties.
