Knights of Columbus Hold Big Initiation in City
About 260 excursionists arrived on the Knights of Columbus special from Goldfield for a day of initiation. Masses were held with Father Dermedy and Father Fewer assisting. Thirty five candidates were introduced as a Salt Lake team conducted the initiation at the Bartlett residence. A banquet at Jacks Hall hosted about 120 members before the 11 pm train back to Goldfield.

Juan Magia a 24 year old Mexican was executed at the state prison Friday for the murder of James Bonamida at Porterville California on February 18 of this year. He faced the gallows calmly and asked that his parents in the City of Mexico be not told of the manner of his death. His brother was to be notified.
Mexico Ready to Accept Arbitration Ruling in Chamizal Dispute
Mexico City June 19. Foreign affairs officials say Mexico will abide by the arbitral court decision on the Chamizal land dispute with El Paso. An official indicated the arbiters favored a Mexican majority and that the report will show Mexico as winner, though an exact equal division was rejected.

George Madden Dies at Manhattan Sunday
George McFadden, son of Bert McFadden, died at Miners' Hospital in Manhattan at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He was well known in Tonopah. This is the second member of the McFadden family to die within a year, a sister of Bert McFadden passing last winter.
