On December 25 1900 twenty five Tonopah adventurers gathered in the Queen of Nevada camp for a Christmas that year. Eleven years later only four of the nineteen living pioneers—R B Davis W J Sinclair W A Marsh and Eli Sweiger—attended to toast friendships and recall first hardships. The article lists many present and past residents and honors those who have passed.
Roy Edwards of Merrill Wisconsin wrestled with four to five timber wolves for about four hours near All Saints Church. He claims he choked one wolf to death and escaped with clothing torn. He collected a bounty on the incident.

In Denver on December 26 Senator Frances K. Warren of Wyoming, quoted yesterday, says President Taft will appoint one of Walter Hookee Kaneas, Charles Nagel, or Frank Kellogg to the Supreme Court to fill the Harlin vacancy. He also forecasts Taft will choose from the eighth circuit. Warren doubts Taft’s denomination and predicts re election. La Follette boom is said to have collapsed and Republicans nationwide recognize it.
The Nevada Douglas property yields a sensational find with 98 percent copper ore nearly pure metal. A 600 foot level hosts a seven foot drift where ore appears on both sides of the face. Fire in Harrisburg causes $100000 damage as firefighters suffer smoke exposure.

Chicago street scene last night featured Good Fellows guiding dozens of automobiles stack high with bundles to aid the poor. Police observed the parade but paid little heed to speed. More than 500 families were remembered by the group.
Flint, December 26 A Christmas feast turned deadly when six men from All Saints church watched a banquet spread. Tucseka, 33, was shot in the left lung during a gun demonstration by Fred Mats who claimed the gun was unloaded. Mats was taken into custody then released after investigation.
In Lovelock Nevada on December 26 a long running feud ends with rancher A Killabrew and farm hand William Walker shooting at close range on the main street. Both drop after rapid fire amid a domestic dispute sparked by Walker winning Killabrew’s wife’s affections.
The election of officers was held Saturday evening. W T Bray was elected high priest P Booth king Frank L Sellstrom scribe H Schmidt treasurer W B Bozarth secretary for the coming year.
A mob seized King Davis in Brooklyn Michigan and killed him with hatchets after a white man Frederick Schwab from Fairfield was shot by Davis following a saloon dispute. Authorities ignored alarms, jail doors were left open, and no guards stood watch as the mob acted.
Washington reports the Lake Tahoe tunnel plan is dropped. The Truckee River option remains the only contemplated route for water use. Secretary Baldrige consented to withdraw the prior contract with the Truckee River General Electric company.
Reno dispatch reports a car labeled Reno 9 and a driver hit and dragged Andy Foster, a visitor from Oklahoma, then fled. Foster clung to a lamp bracket, escaping serious injury as one leg was run over. In Atlanta, Charles Morse's condition remained unchanged after his pardon petition denial.
Canadian Pacific express train en route to Calgary from Calgary, westbound, collided with a rock slide near Lyon. One passenger died, multiple others injured. Old newspapers for sale and debris from demolished engine and cars were reported at the scene.
