President Roosevelt directs General Funston to dispatch a sufficient force of regular troops to Goldfield Nevada to control the situation. Ed Piper longtime manager of the Nevada theatrical circuit in Virginia City died this morning from Bright's disease. Piper had served the circuit for two decades and was a prominent figure in local theater. He leaves behind colleagues and the Nevada theatrical community mourning his passing.
