Cheyenne August 24 Posy Ryan a ranchman convicted of murder in the second degree was sentenced to 30 years in the penitentiary for the killing of his wife and daughter in a crowded cafe last March. Henry Allen a negro slayer of the policeman Til Ashford as the result of a quarrel over a dog was given the same sentence.
Associated Press report from San Francisco dated August 24 states seven uncharged mines were planted at the harbor mouth in five and a half hours. Captain Ferguson, leading the mine planters, said it would take 48 hours to render the port safe from invasion.
