A burglar was injured by an explosion during the break in as a brigadier general urged an end to further incidents. Police report the assailant suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Investigators are reviewing the blast origin and surrounding evidence.
The British steamer Condro will depart tomorrow carrying government stores and regiments for the Philippines. A heavy laden ship will also set sail to Manila with supplies for soldiers, though a workman was killed and his cousin J. F. Frascisco noted. One more man injured, and several soldiers to depart.

A Territorial Republican Convention is set for Prescott September 20 1898 to nominate a Delegate to Congress and a Territorial Central Committee, with representation by county and a full attendance urged.
