Three Insane Patients Committed From Cochise County
Three alleged insane patients were brought before the lunacy commission in the probate court yesterday and committed from Douglas. One man, John Doe, a Mexican, is said to be near death yet sane and was ordered sent to the Douglas poor farm for his remaining days. Lasero Marandi, a Mexican about 65, suffers from delusions of being pursued by Federal troops of Mexico and has broken into the branch jail in Douglas for three weeks.

Committal Ordered in Case of Mentally Unfit Youth
Federal troops under General Diaz were ordered to commit Clarence Smith a youth aged nine or teen. The boy shown to pose possible bodily harm if at large. He was committed and sent to the asylum from thin county on May 28, 1909 and released about a year ago.
