Benton and Wilson have bonded a group of Ajax Hill claims to WT Johnson of Chicago representing Hindle Capital. A 12 month bond at 6000 is set to fund 200 feet of development with ore to Benton and Wilson after charges. Johnson plans crews within ten days and a man hoist will be shipped. Dan Casey, pioneer of Cochise county, dies in Tucson.
The district court term opens with the Core Bratton vs W R Bratton divorce action on the docket. Attorney WP Miller is listed for the plaintiff as local details note Geo Benorit, a well known machinist, visits Tombstone on business linked to Bisbee properties now sold to the Calemot and Alison concerns. Bennett plans to oversee Copper Glanes developments and later manage Bisbee operations for Chas C’s company.

Report from Pairbank states a fire at the Mone texams hotel caused extensive damage after spreading from a lamp. Three tons of hay in a nearby barn were burned. City officials discuss installing a complete fire-plage system after not ordering one when a representative visited recently.
Al C Benton arrives back from Tucson where he was to serve as a U.S. trial juror. He is accompanied by WL Johnson of Chicago, a prominent young man, who plans to view Benton and Wilson's properties near Ajax Hill. The area has recently shown growing chaos with a large ten foot wide wash leading into a belt fifteen feet deep.
Abe Thomas rushed from Bisbee after a telephoned alert that his brother George lay ill and near death. A misread message to the daughter of Charley led Charley to hasten with a team to the home, only to find the alert was a mistake and George was actually well.
Considerable petty larceny occurred around town over the weekend. Officers are on the lookout for the perpetrators. On Sunday night a back window at the Arcade car toon was broken to gain entry. The thief took cash about $25 and goods worth $15 along with whiskey and cigars. No clues are available on the suspects.
The United States Supreme Court denied rehearing in Utter v. Arizona. Pima County bonds issued to aid a railroad are upheld after prior appeals. The lower court is directed to issue a writ of mandate to compel the Territorial Loan Commission to handle the bond issue. The $150,091 bond issue carried 6 per cent interest with semiannual coupons.
Thursday’s Daily notes Martin Costello returning from Tucson where he served with the United States grand jury. Joe Garcia and Cathrina Arballo obtain a marriage license in Fairbank. A Fairbank Give club event draws locals. Bob Templeton travels to Hancharas to hire for Eureka Mining. J Saulters heads to Pueblo, Colorado to claim an uncle’s fortune. E D Sparks leaves contractor commissary role and aims home to El Pew. Robert Morrison, Republican candidate for delegate, spoke in Benson and Nogales, with plans to be in Tombstone Monday. S Bishop of El Paso Southwestern RR visits Fairbank and foresees a work train soon.
The petition for bankruptcy by Arizona Clay Manufacturing of Benson was heard in the district court in Pima County yesterday and taken under a deleement by Judge Davies. The company was formed by citizens of Bischo and Benson and built a large Benson plant that was recently burned.
Advertising flood praises Arizona as a winter resort and highlights railroads doing free promotional work. A small crew repaired and upgraded the Weather Union line to Fairbank, installing new poles and reinforcing railroad crossings.
Joseph Tass r has returned from Los Angeles where he spent time on various works. Mr Tasker expects to spend the winter in Tombstone and may engage in business. In early Tombstone days Tasker ran a mercantile at corner of 1st South and Allen streets.
