In Douglas on October 17 General Hill, leader of the Constitutionalist forces at Naco, orders immediate evacuation and advance toward Agua Prieta. He plans three marching columns with cavalry leading and rear, citing inactive mines and lost customs revenue at Naco. Agua Prieta port handles about 1,500,000 pesos monthly.
In Naco Sonora last night four American troopers and three civilians were wounded by bullets from across the border. The fight began around midnight and lasted until 7 30 this morning with no change in positions. Two cavalrymen are believed to die from their wounds and one civilian will die.
Bulletin from Paris Berlin Petrograd London shows front actions across Belgium France and Poland. Major fighting persists near Noyon and Noye with gains claimed in Fleurbaix. Safeguards amid rumors of naval disasters and air attacks touch Allied and German commands.
Democratic county candidates will speak at the Borderland Theatre in Tombstone Monday evening. Judge AO Lockwood seeks re election, J F Ross runs for county attorney, and W P Sime for county secretary will address attendees. Candidates from across the county are expected to attend.
Deputy Assessor Harry Rose left today for Light Writewater Pearce and other valley towns on a campaigning trip. Mr Bora seeks the treasurer post as the Democratic nominee. He has served three years as deputy assessor for Assessor Hughes and previously under Ches Howe, a state tax official.
Republican candidate from Tombstone visits Beason for campaign matters. He is an old time Tombstone resident with property in the county and strong business integrity. He promises to manage the county’s finances and bore on his own business practices.
Among those to make final proof upon their homesteads are Pernell F Whitmore, Mrs Anas Gleason, Oliver Fry, O Tomberlais, J Peverly. Tombstone offers better opportunities for proof of settlement and cultivation.
A Prescott Courier item notes Gen Wilow and Judge Fergus of Tocton along with Judges Stillwell and Swain of Tombstone will address Willcox residents on Monday. The piece mocks politicians and taxes, warning of absentee conduct and urging duty.
Clerk J. E. James of the Superior Court returns from a campaign tour through Bisbee Douglas and Sulphur Springs Valley towns. He is pledged to reelection on his 1911 record, citing efficiency and competence across the county.

Boating parties have booked all city conveyances today as Sunday approaches.
The Donge le International reports strong support for Sheriff Wheeler from allies including Slaughter and Sieughiers. They urge voting for Wheeler to continue his record as Cochise County sheriff and expect his majority to grow with voter backing.
County Recorder Oxon E Murphy returns home from Bisbee after a brief campaign swing. He seeks re election on the Democratic ticket for the records office, an office he has held this term. An experienced county official with many supporters, Murphy carried the highest vote last election.
