President Taft signed a proclamation adding lands around Rattlesnake Canyon and ranges in the Cronk Forest west of Ft. Grant to the reserves. The total area includes about 4,000,000 feet BM of timber from the Tonto, Croek, and Ansaha regions with 9,0000 feet BLM of yellow pine saw timber and 1,629.00 cords of juniper and pinion.
