Tucson October 5 The death of Mrs. Mary Nelson the insane Douglas woman who died after leaping from a westbound Southern Pacific train prompts talk of women deputies accompanying women prisoners and insane inmates. She was sent to Phoenix under Deputy Rafferty then taken to Tucson where a disturbance halted plans to move her further. She jumped from a window at Jaynes station on the return trip. Local officers blame no one and urge female deputies for such trips. Minnie Eyetabrook the Indian field matron has already accompanied women prisoners on trains with success. Mrs Nelson's body was taken to Douglas with Deputy Rafferty and her son.

Miners Union Leader Promises Fierce Fight Over Letter
