Hidden treasure unearthed near Chandler distillery
Deputies found seven buried barrels of mash eight miles southeast of Chandler. Authorities traced the distillery to Amos Dean and others, uncovering empty bottle exhibits as federal investigators arrived. Mash bags were dug from a ditch on the south side and brought to Phoenix.

Five Thousand Dollar Winton Six Stolen from Douglas Found in Sonora
A Winton Six once owned by Marty Clark of Douglas has been located in Magdalena Sonora after thieves forced open the park garage door and drove it across the border into Mexico. The car valued at about 5000 dollars was found following telegrams from the Douglas wits office and cooperation from Mexican authorities. Sheriff’s office sent notices and photos during the search. Douglas officers Moore and Clark traveled to Magdalena to recover the vehicle.
