Jones Faces Indictments After Grand Jury Action
Judge RC yesterday overruled demurrers to two grand jury indictments charging Rollin P. Jones with aggravated assault and attempt to commit a serious offense. He will be tried on one indictment soon. Jones had testified in the Ku Klux Klan inquiry last January, claiming abduction and maltreatment at a remote station. The demurrers argued the indictments lacked sufficient facts and that no offense was committed.
