Mining Tax Revenue And Douglas Report From Arizona

COGHISE LEADS CONDITIONS ARE IN PAYMENT OF GOOD IN MINING TAXES. A total of 19,027 in taxes May been collected this month for the state treasurer. The tax receipts list by county include Mohave 348, Cochise 215,5381, Greenlee 13,590. Grienke and Pinal amounts appear. Walter Douglas, general manager of Phelps Dodge Co, visited Tyrone NM and Clifton, noting mining business in good condition and discussing strike developments with Clifton leaders. He plans to return to Arizona after the new year for further talks.
