An old shaft about nine miles from the Tumacaceri church near Tuban was found by James Fisher and two Nogales Mexicans. It measures about ten by twenty feet with clear drill marks, possibly the famed Tumacacori mine sought for years. The story ties to Jesuit explorers and Apache conflicts, with remnants of the church as a reminder of history. A patent medicine ad follows, touting Drummond’s Lightning Remedy at five dollars.
