Reports from Locklin strike fans the gold fever as more parties arrive. Ore shows free gold and rich quartz with visible nuggets along ledges. Stages run Tombstone to Pearceville three times weekly. Wilcox merchants open branches as mining town hums with activity.
The board approved routine charges and allowances including juror and constable fees, examiner costs, and a telegraphing stamp allowance. It also released bonds, approved supplemental bonds, and postponed or appointed road overseers in St David and Bisbee districts with labor rates set at one dollar per man.

It claims relief, healing, and that most cases dry up, available at druggists or by mail from Dr. Swayne and Son of Philadelphia. The notice also invites owners of movable small houses to call and leave their names amid a local housing boom.

Yesterday Bisbee fraternal gathering celebrated the birth of a new Masons lodge with delegations from Phoenix Tucson Benen Nogales Tombstone Grand Master A L Grow presiding. An elegant banquet followed with speeches toasts and songs. Tombstone contingent praised Birbee brothers for royal reception. Frank Johnston resigns to work in the mine. Join Furlong heads to Tombstone to visit a new gold camp. W S Stevens travels on the outgoing train. Dan Walsh the miner and prospector goes to Congress. W W Wiggins returns to Los Angeles after weeks here. W W Whitney reports fine cattle in Sulphur Spring valley. Mrs J T Brown and son visit Prescott. M M Sherman returns from Kansas with cattle shipments. A bold 20 000 forgery at the Nevada Bank of San Francisco echoes rising bank losses. Arizona and other regions appear on a Bradstreet table of embezzlement losses. The piece notes Arizona’s omission as a morality point for statehood. Lost letter bearing Mrs H Moore address seeks return at the office.
