A lone highwayman intercepted the Hot Springs stage in Arizona and robbed the driver, an Italian, of a package of silver dollars bound for C. M. Calhoun, superintendent of the Castle Creek and Hot Springs Improvement Company. After the theft the robber fled on horseback. the driver, shaken, could not identify passengers, hindering the inquiry.
Witness T L Martin of Dimie Kentucky testified about severe coughing and throat pain before giving evidence.
