The latest view on Arizona elections suggests no state vote before 1912 with officers chosen in last election serving three years. Reports out of Phoenix say Governor set primaries near end of 1911 and Arizona’s statehood aims push the first post joining vote to 1912.
The Cochise Republican candidate for representative, John William, sends congratulations to his victor and to Congressman Carl Hayden after a contested race. The telegram expresses appreciation for a clean campaign and includes a note to send garden seeds to Cochise.
Ducks trained to imitate wild birds under Jess Troch in Clark County will star as live decoys at the opening hunting season on October 1. Thirty ducks tethered with collars and kept under constant lessons have progressed from fur-tailed feats to a splendid decoy display as part of a duck hunter operation reported by the Vancouver Comessonience Herti and Oregonian.
Court dates listed for Tombstone include a United States grand jury on December 18 and a United States trial on December 9 with a territorial grand jury and a territorial trial jury date to be announced.

After canvassing election results by January 15, the board chaired by Secretary Young Chief Tur tiee Kent and Governor Sloan will certify returns to the president who will issue the proclamation admitting Arizona as a state. The legislature would convene about February 15, with statehood effective from proclamation day.
Secretary Geo A. Young lauded a Democratic win in Phoenix and announced plans to run as a Republican governor candidate next year. He framed the result as a progressive victory and criticized party machines while pledging a campaign to push forward reforms and growth in Arizona.
