Trowbadge claims show strong copper prospects as a tunnel progresses.

The Interstate Commerce Commission allows advance on bituminous coal except in South Dakota, denying increases for fruit and vegetables grain livestock packinghouse products and fertilizers. The ruling mainly affects Wisconsin Minnesota Iowa Colorado Nebraska towns and several western states. Railroads gain an estimated 7.5 million dollars annually. several major increases are denied and western lines press their case.

More Mining Instruments Filed During Week in Cochise

During the week in Cochise County several mining instruments were recorded. Erwin G Thorne sold sixteen claims in the Little Dragoon mountains to John Fairflex. RD Hall bought seven claims from Creek Mining Company in the Chiricahua range. GW Rambo sold to M Howe two claims in the Warren district. Williamson location yielded four claims and two in the Yellow Sliam area. Fred Sutter bought an interest from Stewart Grant in Warren district claims. Fremont Frazee located several claims in Warren district CA. Wien of Johnson located two claims in that district. Tommy Blair and associates located right claims in the Pearce District near the Commonwealth Extension and the new strikes.

Whitt Damage Case Goes to the Jury

The Willard Whitt versus Warren Street Railway Co. damage case, tried in Superior Court, concluded this afternoon and submitted to the jury around 4 o clock after lengthy attorney arguments and jury instructions. John Moran of Cousins pleaded guilty to selling whiskey and was sentenced to ninety days in jail plus a $25 fine. An order authorized a special year for a ten jurors to report Monday at 9 a.m.

Land selections filed for Cochise area mining claims

Phoenix August 14 The state land department filed selections totaling 10 000 acres in Cochise county surveys including Worcester Kite Bock Cal Grand View Nost Chil and Bonita mining claims in the Warren district Copper Queen Consolidated Copper company named as claimant.

Bunker Hill tests yield small gains on ore streams

Reports from the Bunker Hill Test Mill indicate ore from various properties has been tested over two months using cyanide and the oil rotation process, with no substantial values yet reported. A new concentrating unit started last week shows no results so far while extensive construction and pumping upgrades continue across the property.
