Reports from Douglas claim Francisco Villa aligned with Germany as arms and ammunition shipments funded by German money were sent to Villa agents on Mexico's west coast. Unclear shooting wounds Italian men on Madison Street

On April 7 at about 8 30 pm an unknown shooter fired on two Italian men near Seventh Street and Madison. Poincetta was struck in the right forearm with a bone splintered by a clean through wound, while Padrone was missed as he fled. A motorist rushed Poincetta to Dr Wix Thomas for treatment.

Roemer Named Wells Fargo Route Agent in Arizona

Stephen Roemer, a well known Wells Fargo figure, arrived in Phoenix and will base his permanent headquarters there as route agent in charge of the Arizona district. He has long served the company, mainly from Benson and Tucson, with past ties to Phoenix and El Paso.

Ambulance Corps No 2 Visits Tombstone During Hike

Ambulance Corps No 2 of the United States Army under Capt W HL Allen stopped in Tombstone for about half an hour this afternoon. The unit, consisting of 12 trucks, is on a 9 day training bike ride from Douglas to Tucson via Tombstone Benson and Huachuca route, returning via Empire Ranch and Huachuca Riding route.
