Peace Ratified Between Servia and Bulgaria

The powers ratified the peace treaty between Servia and Bulgaria in Bucharest on March 18. In Salt Lake City on March 18 George Q. Cannon forfeited bail after failing to respond in court. In San Francisco paralysis struck Streets Superintendent Ruggles and he died next morning. In Boston Ah Joe and Selma Johnson wed in court after a brief arrest resolution, each paying one cent and half costs. Jem Smith offered to fight John L Sullivan in England for £400 a side. New Orleans reported a deadly courthouse shooting where white attackers killed ten of thirteen prisoners, injuring three, linked to an earlier assassination attempt on James Liddell.
