Death of Mrs Ana L Alden in Toledo Community
Mrs Ana L Alden of Toledo died after a long heart illness on Tuesday afternoon. Born in Columbus Ohio on September 9 1848 she was 26 years 10 months and 3 days old at death. She married W H Alden November 16 1869 and survived by her husband. The death tears through the community as relatives friends and neighbors reflect on her gentle character. The funeral was held at the M E Church with Rev Robertson delivering an eloquent sermon. Her death follows years of heart disease but she remained mentally alert to the end. She spoke of meeting her baby boy and said goodbye to loved ones before passing. The family requested prayers and sympathies for Mr Alden. The obituary also notes the couple were early neighbors and close friends of the writer.
