The school reorganized by moving the Industrial Arts Shop into the old Vocational Agriculture space doubling the size of the agriculture shop. The new Vocational Agriculture Shop is now larger and the metal department occupies the former agriculture area while woodworking remains in the original shop.
Brenda Meyer urges better conduct by grades 1-6 students at games. She notes kids distract officials and spectators when playing or fighting and calls for parents to supervise and prefer quiet cheering or remove children from others’ view.
Coach Paul Krohn joins Tyke as a first year teacher after four years of college football and one year of basketball at Mankato State. He praises the school structure and parental engagement and plans to stay at Tyke.
The crowning of the King and Queen for the 1976 77 Homecoming was held Sept 23 1976 at 7 30 pm. Queen Jacque Seebeck and King Terry Meyer were chosen to reign over the festivities. The coronation was followed by a pep rally bonfire speeches by players and staff and a snake dance through town.
Students are invited to dress for group photos as Saul Studio of Humboldt shoots pictures on Thursday September 30. Memory mates will also be taken at this time for the sensor. Bring your smile.
The Titania FFA Chapter plans a grapefruit orange and cheese sale in one to three pound packages offering three kinds of cheese. They may establish a phone order system to take orders.
Titanka High School girls staged a spirited Powderpuff match on Thursday Sept 23 tying 6 to 6. Alberta Sloper returned a kickoff for a score while Janice Ubben connected on three TD passes to Janet Heyer.
Summer renovations left fresh walls in the study hall English rooms library math government Jr High English and the steps and rails. Visitors would hardly recognize the school after the repaint.
Keith Dirksen transfers to Titonka from Gamer, joins FFA, adjusts to a smaller school. He lives four miles east of town with a father who works at Winnebago Industries in Forest City and has a brother there. Keith enjoys motorcycles snowmobiling and watching TV.
Sth graders start band this year with Mr Nuss and a Sept 21 meeting for students and parents. Krafft representative explains instrument rentals as 24 students join, with lessons starting Sept 27 and weekly 20 minute sessions followed by group practice later.
Marlin Brand discusses dedication as waking early for Stage Band practice every Tuesday at 7 30. The group LAMM Last American Music Machine teaches jazz rock and swing and improvisation with solos. The band lineup includes trumpets percussion trombone piano electric guitar bass saxophones and more.

This week a female student with brown hair and brown eyes plays on the basketball team and is a noted artist. She often says I can dig it. The male student has brown hair blue eyes stands about 5 feet 7 inches and weighs 130 pounds. He enjoys wheel ies and wasting time and says weights. Last week’s Mystery Ms was Jean Baade and Mystery Mr Dale Norland.
Titonicd's J. V. squad answered a 20-0 loss at Armstrong to beat Thompson 14-6. Paul Orthel scored the first touchdown and Mark Fox added a 3rd quarter TD. Thompson struck on a punt formation pass. A 3rd quarter safety cemented the final margin.
Pep Club members paint downtown windows during Homecoming week with colorful slogans such as Shop around for a victory Scoob out for a victory and Indians are dynamite They aim to boost town spirit as forty six members participate and share upbeat notes about trying new ideas
