Miss Stella Mae Breen called in Algona Monday while Berniece Pannhuk stayed at her Buffalo Center home. Various local residents visit, travel, and shop with notes of illnesses operations and gatherings across Buffalo Center Lakota Mason City and nearby towns.

High school youths urged to attend. special classes offered. A Women’s Society service at eight Monday. card and letter shower for Mrs. Hunice Moore at General Hospital Algona. The new home of Warner Schmidt is progressing with most of the framework now erected. Crews continue rapid site work as walls and roof framing come together, signaling early completion milestones and a closer move-in date for the project.
Winifred Plumb of Burt Cozy Corner 4 H club earns state honors in home beautification and will enter her record in the national contest. She receives a gold medal in county and a gold watch from the state. Six trips to the national club congress are awarded. Her record shows yard fencing, grass seeding, flower and shrub planting, a perennial border, a picket fence separating laundry area, a rock garden, and an outdoor living room. She has four years of club work, serving as club president and on the demonstration team with a strong project record.
The Good Hope Lutheran Church led by Rev. M A Schulz announces Sunday services in English at 10 30 and Sunday School at 9 30 in Titonka public school auditorium while heating work continues. Choir practice Thursday at 7 30. Funeral for Henry Stecker Sr Friday at 1 30 after home services at 1 00. Confirmation instruction runs Saturday 9 am to 3 30 pm.
Mrs Charles Georgen Jr of Farley has knitted 72 sweaters over 165 months. All feature long sleeves with 35 cardigans and the rest slip overs.
Miss Jeanette Swalve daughter of Mr and Mrs Arend Swalve Thompson and Virgil Heesch son of Mr and Mrs Nick Heesch were married October 18 at the Little Brown Church Nashua in a double ring ceremony by Rev Henry Kruse. They attended by groom's sister Wilma and Arnold Swalve. After a three course dinner at St Charles Hotel Charles City a reception followed at the bride's parents home. The couple planned a short trip to Lincoln Nebraska. The bride a Thompson graduate. Heesch a Titonica graduate and farmer.
