Dr. E D Plass explains what a pre cancerous lesion is and how non malignant changes may become cancer if not treated. He lists white spot disease leukoplakia, dry scaly facial skin, denture sores, irritated gums, unrepaired birth injuries as examples and notes that proper treatment prevents cancer. He adds that all common animals are subject to cancer, including some laboratory species.
