Turner tax plan promises $8,000,000 town tax cut next year
Governor Dan W. Turner announced first estimates of Iowa's 1932 tax bill showing town levies set to drop by about $8 million next year under the Turner tax reduction program. This adds to a more than $10 million cut in 1932 taxes versus 1931, totaling around $18 million in two years, claimed as the nation’s largest tax slash.
