Obituary notes the death of Mrs. Ward at her daughter's home in Whittemore Iowa from cerebral hemorrhage on September 20 1934 after nearly two years of illness. Born January 1800 in New York she was 7 months and 26 days short of 135. Survived by 12 children 77 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral held at the Presbyterian church in Burling. Also mentions a plea related to hog slaughter rules and an Idaho death of Armstrong mother.

Rev and Mrs G M Squires of Hornick Iowa visited Titonka friends Monday staying with Charlie Phelps and then with Mrs Carrin Bonacker. Squires, a former Titonka Methodist minister, will return to his pastorate next year. The trip included Cass Lake and the Mississippi trip with Topic editor and Dennis of Buffalo Center. weather varied from ideal to blizzard conditions. Doe Ball joined Emmet Paetz of Sexton on the Cass Lake trip as the group traveled to St Cloud and back home through Walker Minnesota Titonka enjoyed warm weather upon return.
