Bancroft seeks extended star route for early mail
Bancroft residents push to extend the Britt Titonka star route to Bancroft or inaugurate Bancroft Algona routing. Goal is mail by 8 a.m. instead of 11 a.m. The Britt Titonka route already serves Woden and Crystal Lake with twice daily trips, transporting mail from Milwaukee trains and from Britt via north and south routes. A Bancroft Algona extension would match service and alleviate delays in bad weather. Bancroft business leaders and others are presenting the proposal to the post office department.
