Funeral services held for Dr Edwin A Howe in Bancroft
Dr Edwin A Howe longtime Bancroft veterinarian died at his Bancroft home October 16 1938 at age 71 after heart illness. Born September 17 1866 in Arlington he practiced with his parents then for over forty years in Bancroft. He married Rosalie Haatman Schultz January 25 1886 and had two sons Albert and Harley both deceased. He served as deacon of Bancroft Baptist Church and leaves wife son Albert four grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Burial was in Greenwood Township Cemetery following services at Bancroft Baptist Church October 18 1938.

The Heifners, living on the farm tenanted by grandson Clair Heifner, were away after taking the baby Ina Lee to visit relatives.
