Outlook for 1958 soybeans may top last year says Iowa economist
Farm extension director Tom Rackham of Iowa State College predicts bean production could set a new record in 1958 as March plans show 10 percent larger soybean plantings than 1957. Exports likely rise and government loan terms support storage. Bean prices may stay low despite good meal demand due to large carryover stocks.
