Round the Town reports a jumble of local events and names from late May including political calls to vote for Boyle and Cummins, Decoration Day observations, trades and purchases at Loson's, visits by residents to nearby towns, church services, and modest farm and social news with numerous personal names and places.
Dr Green of Wesley will be in Titania on Saturday May 30 at the hotel to perform dental work. Cashlar Armstrong travels to Garner for dental procedures and other locals plan visits for repairs and fittings at the hotel and around town.
Geo Schatter of Buffalo township plans to buy a large drilling outfit to install an eight inch drain well on his farm. He already has a three inch well draining three strings of five inch tile, and believes the new eight inch well will drain his entire acreage. A cistern surrounds the well and the pipe rises about three feet, keeping dirt out and carrying off all water. It is the only such well in the region and has attracted local notice, spurring other farmers to consider drain wells to solve water drainage issues.
