Doyle, who was bound over to the grand jury with $1,000 bond.
Dwight Lamb a 33 year old Clinton capitalist and head of Lamb Boat and Engine Company, Lamb Automobile Company, and director of City National Bank, fell from the Margaret steamer near Beloyue last night on a pleasure trip and died. The body was not recovered with his wife and three children left behind.
Tests by Prof. C N Kinney of Drake University found 75 to 76 percent of samples from University Place adulterated with formaldehyde borax chalk and water with skimmed milk common practice. Only about three of ten samples were pure. Calls for state dairy commission and legal action to protect the public.
Miss Martha Sinkey a 9 domestic employee died during a heavy rainstorm near Onslow Iowa in the home of former auditor John Russell. She reportedly jumped from bed after a thunderclap and collapsed, with heart disease suspected as the cause. Authorities found no intrusion by lightning into the house.
In Hamburg a bank official J F Galle of the Farmer's Exchange bank was shot by S C Rees a prominent local capitalist. Rees was released on bond. Two other reported incidents include a fatal lightning strike on Curt Smith a farm hand at Thunderbolt Iowa and a cyclone damaging Theodore Green's barn and chicken house near Oskaloosa.
Mrs Worman van Hebel of Neola was badly scalded when pouring water from a wash boiler into the washing machine. Her husband Mr Van Hebel rushed to her aid and saved her from severe burns. She was reported in a worse condition but slightly improved.
Des Moines pursues voluntary bankruptcy with debts near 30000 dollars and assets under 3000.
