The Portland Township Farm Bureau met May 9 at the Mennet Trunkhill home with Jay Steven as program chairman. Mrs Reidenger from Algona spoke on Sail Conservation and soil erosion slides were shown. Joan Gifford from Burt sang two songs with guitar. Mrs Ray Fitch performed a surprise number and Mrs Otto Reutzel read “Efficiency and Forethought.” A lunch was served by the Bernard lunch committee.
