The Titonka Town Council in Iowa calls a special election for June 6 1956 to decide granting an electric franchise to Interstate Power Company a Delaware corporation. Ordinance No 11 and full election notice will be published weekly for four weeks in a local newspaper. Judges Amos Krominga W E Nothwehr and Eilert D Boyken Clerks Florence K Reaser and Camilla Cooper.
Town of Titonka Iowa grants Interstate Power Company a 25 year electric franchise to erect install construct operate maintain and own electric plant and distribution system within Titonka limits. Outlines rights to place poles wires conduits and fixtures along streets and grounds to furnish electric energy for light heat and power. Conditions include conformity with Iowa law and ordinance details.
The ordinance grants a grantee the right to own operate maintain and control an electric plant and distribution system within the municipality including rights of way over streets sidewalks and public grounds. It requires compensation and sets extension rules, notices for moving structures, and preservation of public travel. it was approved for election May 7, 1956.
