Census plan asks farmers to fill Agriculture Questionnaire
The U S Bureau of the Census plans a large mailing for the 1950 Census of Agriculture to over six million farmers. Rural route box holders will receive the Agriculture Questionnaire in late March and have it ready for the census taker in April. The form is designed for quick completion with most questions requiring little reference. About half the inquiries apply nationwide, with crops and livestock data gathered for 1949 and inventories as of 1950. In Kossuth County, crew leaders William A. Barry Sr and John Kohlhass will supervise enumerators, inspect progress, and administer qualification tests for those to be named enumerators.
