The Iowa Farm Bureau announces a corn yield contest with a prize of 10 dollars to the highest yielding entry from Kossuth County, contingent on at least five county entries. If fewer than five enter a second prize of 5 dollars will be awarded. Bill Seeks Executor Commission Rates and Fees
A historic draft proposes commissions for executors and administrators on estate distributions and real estate sales. It sets percentages for the first thousand dollars, next four thousand, and amounts over five thousand, with court allowances for extraordinary expenses. Attorneys' probate fees are capped but negotiable.
Present Statute on Town Repeal and Executor Fees
Fragmentary old statute discusses repeal of a town provision and outlines executor and administrator compensation. It sets percentages on personal estate for commissions and includes allowances for attorney fees within court-determined limits. The text also notes further just and reasonable allowances may be made by the court.
