Dirksen Couple To Observe Golden Anniversary In Woden
Mr and Mrs Garrett Dirksen of Woden celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Sunday gathering from 2 to 5 pm at their Woden home. They were married in Germany on March 10 1805 and later moved to the United States. Their four children Henry Dirksen of Woden, Mrs Edward Eden of Wesley, Mrs Henry B Isebrand of Woden and Meindert Dirksen of Woden will join the celebration.

James Fitzpatrick lifelong farmer near Woden died Saturday evening from a heart attack at his home 1.5 miles south of Woden. He was born October 27 1897 in Britt. Survived by wife Elizabeth and three children Marjorie Smith Charlotte Harvey and Eugene Fitzpatrick. Funeral Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church Woden with burial in Bingham Cemetery.

The Ti tonka Saddle Club held its annual meeting Tuesday evening at J. R. Schutter Implement Store with a good crowd. Treasurer reported a nice balance. Two new directors elected Jesse Harms and Harry Mehlan. remaining directors are Bill Fritz Roy Walrod Sophus Nelson and Gordon Hansen. Door prizes awarded and a movie of last year's Saddle Club activities shown. A lunch was served.
