Rites Held for Mrs Carl Franzen in Wesley
Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Franzen 62 who died in a Mason City hospital followed a short heart illness were held at 2:30 PM Saturday at the Wesley Lutheran Church. Rev. A Bottom presided assisted by former pastors Rev J H Clifton and Rev Herbert Marsh. Born Marie Carlson in Ostergotland Sweden August 10 1884 she immigrated to America in 1904 lived in Minnesota and Chicago before moving to Wesley. She married Carl Franzen June 17 1914 and had two children Bern and Helen. Surviving are her husband two children three brothers and one sister. Pallbearers were Olaf Finnemark Victor Loebig John Richter Raymond Hanson Henry Weiland and William Weiland. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
