It ISN'T ONE THING IT'S ANOTHER Potato pests plague growers
Flea beetles and leaf hoppers threaten potatoes this year. Flea beetles are tiny black insects that eat holes in potato vines. Leaf hoppers are light green wedge shaped insects that injure leaf ribs. A Bordeaux spray under leaves may help. In other news Miss Edith and Hazel Bits, Mrs H A French, and B E Hansen were out shopping in Mason City. Fred and Wm Heyer of Buffalo Center did business in town.
