The War Production Board announces a substantial increase in farm machinery production starting July 1. Emphasis will focus on harvesting machinery in the third quarter and manufacturers may place material orders for the new plan. Brown paper drives in Iowa target brown paper and corrugated boxes, not general waste paper, with local scrap dealers coordinating shipments to mills.
