J D Engels in charge Interment was in Ramsey Reformed Church Cemetery Born February 26 1873 in Ostfriesland Germany he came to America in 1892 He married Jennie Busenga January 23 1895 and farmed in Titonka area They had 12 children He died May 14 at age 74 after a heart attack Surviving are wife five sons and four daughters, three brothers, 28 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren Numerous relatives attended the service.

Buffalo Center Man Dies in Ditch Cave-In
Russell Kingsbury 34, of Buffalo Center, died in an 18 foot ditch cave-in one mile south of Bancroft on Tuesday afternoon around 5. He had just begun a tile machine ditch across from Leonard Johnson’s when the trench collapsed burying him up to his neck. Fellow workers and the ditch gave way. Kingsbury, a drag line operator for Lenny Harmon, died despite pulmotor aid from Buffalo Center fire chief George Beazing. A South Pacific veteran, he was not married.
