Bonar Algona Lawyer Dies at 75 Home and Service Details
J L Bonar 75 a longtime Algona lawyer died after a long illness. Funeral rites were held Friday at the Congregational Church with Masonic graveside ceremonies in Riverview. Bonar served as city attorney for nearly 40 years and was active in civic groups including Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce. He was president of the Kossuth County Bar Association and a longtime member of state and district bar associations. He was born in Wheeling West Virginia and lived in Algona since 1895. He and his wife Bonniel Lee survived by family members.

At the June meeting held Tuesday at the Denton home seventeen members attended and elected officers for the coming year. Irene Petersen is president with Beth Miller as 1st vice and Mary Sartor as 2nd vice. Mary Young is treasurer, Anna Andrews secretary, Julia Nelson historian, Anna Hof chaplain, Mathilda Falk 1st Serg, Esther Breen Serg Hst, an executive board includes Sadie Denton Minnie Oosterreicher and Clea Nelson. Mary Young reports ten paid-up members for 1941 1942. Esther Breen was omitted from the poppy workers list last week and is now noted.

Representatives of Stock Land Bank of Lincoln Nebraska held auctions of two Iowa farms in Algona. Vernon Larson of Titonka bought the Dennison 80 two miles west of Bancroft at 44 dollars per acre. Arthur and Hollis Benschoter of Algona bought the old Keen ot Hakes farm two miles northeast of Algona at 86350 dollars per acre. Both sales await Home Office approval in Lincoln. The Dennison farm has no buildings. Kathryn Hakes rents the Keen farm with Alfred Menke as tenant. Both farms lie on grav eled roads.

Woden Boy Larry Nager Dies After Long Illness
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Methodist church for Larry Maynard Nager three year old son of Mr. and Mrs Cecil Nager. He died Tuesday at Park hospital Mason City after a long illness having been confined since early spring. Survivors include his parents three brothers Wayne William Junior and five sisters Blanche Joy Beverly Gloria and Shirley of hamS also many relatives. Pallbearers were Donald Limberg Jimmy Bode Larry Dirksen and Robert Sheppler. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery Britt.

Dwight Wagner, 17, Wes ley, was injured when his father's car collided with a moving freight train near Wesley while returning from a farm errand. The car was dragged about 80 feet before stopping. Father and Two Sons Have Joint Funeral
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St Josephs Catholic Church for John Marco and his two sons Francis 22 and Gerald 18 who were killed near their home in Waukesha Wisconsin Saturday when their car struck a train. Their bodies arrived Monday morning and were taken to the Gregory Studer home. Mrs Marco is the former Lena Studer daughter of Mr and Mrs Gregory Studer pioneer residents around Wesley and St Benedict.
