Vernadelle Willis Injured in Runaway Incident

Vernadelle, 18 months, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Faxrast Wills, was run over in a barnyard when a frightened team pulled the corn planter and fled. She suffered a broken nose, facial injuries, and a broken right leg above the knee. She was treated in town and at Algona hospital, where fractures were reduced and she will remain hospitalized about six weeks. Her parents and siblings visited in Algona Friday afternoon.

Death of John Emerson at Superior Iowa

John Emerson a former resident of Titonka died Friday after a two week illness from cancer. Born June 14, 1860 in Green County Iowa, he lived in Titonka with his wife until 1925 when she died. He leaves three sisters, one brother and a granddaughter. Funeral at the Titonka Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Fremont Fall. Interment Buffalo Township Cemetery south of Lown. Surviving relatives listed.

District Court Opens June Term with 20 Jury Trials Listed

Judge F C Davidson will open the June term on Monday June 8 with a first week focused on equity cases.
