Farm Outlook Warns Iowa Farmers On Corn Storage Costs

The July 1959 corn crop outlook warns farmers to plan storage for fall. ISU economist Kulish notes possible oversupply of feed despite rising livestock production and low harvest prices. Rackham cites increased corn acreage and roughage prices, with hay and dehydrated alfalfa prices dropping from April levels. Tankage may rival soybean meal as a protein source, and price shifts offer bargaining room for discounts on concentrates.
