Wool Payment Rates For 1956 Announced
Kossuth county farmers in the government's wool incentive program will receive 40 percent of their 1956 wool market year proceeds for shorn wool and 71 cents per hundredweight for unshorn lamb sales to cover wool. Virgil L. Rohlf, ASC manager, announced the 1956 rates covering the year ending March 31 1957.

4-H Members Attend County Livestock Judging Contests
About 100 4-H youths visited farms in Kossuth County last week to prepare for next year’s projects and to form county livestock judging teams. They judged baby beef, beef heifers, dairy cows and heifers, hogs, and sheep while hosted by multiple local farmers. Members 14 and older aim to earn spots on teams representing Kossuth at the North Iowa Fair Iowa State Fair and Dairy Cattle Congress.
